The Original Farmers Arms is a traditional country pub and restaurant in the heart of Eccleston, Chorley. Run by Lisa Griffin and Head Chef Ian Hartley for over 18 years, we pride ourselves on traditional values, a friendly welcome, and freshly homemade food served every single day.
We're proudly independent - no brewery ties, no shortcuts. Everything from our Yorkshire puddings to our desserts is made from scratch in our kitchen. Takeaway is also available - just give us a call. It's not just our job, it's our future, and we're grateful for every customer who walks through the door.

Pub Quiz
Join Quiz Master Graham for our popular Monday night quiz. Teams of up to 4, £2 entry per team. First place wins the entry fee pot.
50 questions with a 10 minute interval halfway through. Starts at 8.30pm every Monday (except Christmas week).
Functions & Events
We offer a private, closed-off restaurant area for all sorts of functions - from funerals to large family get-togethers and everything in between.
A buffet menu is available on request - just get in touch for more information. We also do delivery on hot food options for over 20 people, and make family-sized pies and lasagna, all homemade and freshly cooked to order.

The food we ordered last night was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be putting another order in.
Late finish at the office, nearly called into Tesco for a pizza but thought I'd call the local instead! 30 mins later and two 2 course home cooked meals ready for collection!

Accommodation
We have three nicely appointed rooms available with a dedicated entrance separate from the pub and restaurant. Two double rooms (one with en-suite) and one twin room.
All rooms have Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is available when the restaurant opens at 12 noon.
